  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil To coat the wings
For the spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Light or dark
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, aiming for 375 to 450°F.
  2. In a large bowl, toss together the brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until mixed well.
Coating the Wings
  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel, then place them in the bowl with the spice mix.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and toss everything together until the wings are fully coated.
Grilling
  1. Place the wings directly on the grill. Cook for about 20 to 25 minutes, turning them every 5 minutes, until the skin turns crispy and an instant-read thermometer reads at least 165°F.
  2. Once grilled, remove the wings from the grill and let them rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
