  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar Can substitute with brown sugar for deeper flavor.
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute half with whole wheat flour.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can substitute with nuts or dried fruits.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well mixed.
  4. Incorporate baking soda and salt into the mixture.
  5. Add in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is combined.
  6. Gently fold in the baking powder and all-purpose flour, careful not to overmix.
  7. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
