  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Full fat for best texture
  • 3-4 ounces dried beef slices, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced White and green parts
  • 1-2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Optional, for extra tang
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Optional; use toasted for more flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Leave the cream cheese on the counter for 20 to 30 minutes to soften.
  2. Finely chop the dried beef and thinly slice the green onions.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dried beef, sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt. Stir until smooth.
  4. If using cheddar, gently fold it in.
  5. Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands.
  6. If desired, roll the ball in chopped pecans until coated.
  7. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
Serving
  1. Serve chilled with crackers, sliced baguette, or raw vegetables.

Notes
