  • 1 lb ground turkey Lean ground turkey is preferred.
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced Any type suitable for mashing or roasting.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Warm a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3 to 4 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
  3. Add the ground turkey and use a spoon to break it up. Cook until evenly browned and no longer pink, approximately 6 to 8 minutes.
  4. Stir in the diced potatoes and sprinkle paprika, salt, and black pepper over the mixture. Mix everything well to coat the potatoes.
  5. Add chicken broth if using. Cover the skillet and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, checking until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
  6. Remove the lid, adjust seasoning if necessary, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
