Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and either grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Mix the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg (or flaxseed mixture), and vanilla extract until evenly blended.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and gently stir it in.
- Add the flour and fold it in carefully until no dry flour remains.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
Baking
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
