Preparation
- Preheat your oven and generously butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cut the loaf into 1 to 1.5-inch cubes and spread half in the dish. Scatter half of the blueberries over this layer.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour half of this custard mixture over the first layer of bread and press it gently down.
- Add the remaining bread cubes and blueberries, then pour the rest of the custard on top. Lightly press down to ensure it soaks in.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Baking
- In the morning, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the plastic wrap and bake uncovered for 45 to 55 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- Allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
