Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Cut the bread into 1 to 1.5-inch cubes.
- Layer half of the bread cubes in the greased dish, then sprinkle half of the blueberries over them.
- Add the remaining bread cubes on top, followed by the rest of the blueberries.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and blueberries, pressing gently with a spatula to ensure everything is coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight.
Baking
- Uncover and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
