Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups prepared mac and cheese or chicken Alfredo Use fresh from the pot or reheated leftovers
Spicy Elements
  • 1 cup sliced jalapeños Or hot sauce to taste
Cheesy Elements
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella work well
Cooking Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Or substitute with a neutral oil if preferred
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook boxed mac and cheese according to package directions, or reheat leftover mac or chicken Alfredo gently until very hot.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced jalapeños and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring, until softened and fragrant. If using hot sauce, add it in the next step.
  4. Add the hot mac and cheese or Alfredo to the skillet and stir to coat the pasta in the pepper-infused oil, or pour hot sauce over it and stir to distribute.
  5. Mix in 1 cup of shredded cheese, stirring until melted and glossy. Add a splash of milk for extra creaminess if desired.
  6. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, then taste and season with salt and pepper. Adjust hot sauce or jalapeños to increase heat as desired.
  7. Serve immediately while hot, ensuring the cheese remains gooey.
